Congratulations!
If you are planning a move to the Langley/South Surrey area, you have chosen
a great place to call home! Friendly neighbourhoods, beautiful parks and
recreational areas, great schools and community activities are just a few
of our area highlights.
LANGLEY
Langley consists of two entities, The
City of Langley and the Township
of Langley. It lies approximately 40 minutes east of Vancouver and
is bordered by Surrey on the west, Abbotsford on the east, the Fraser River
on the north and the US border on the south. Fort Langley was the first
European settlement in the area and is now a National Historic Park. Langley
is considered to be the horse capital of BC and offers the largest riding
stables and extensive riding trails. Over 20,000 students attend Langley
Schools and enjoy the many parks, recreation centres and community
pools.
WHITE
ROCK/SOUTH SURREY
Sunny White
Rock is located on the southwest corner of the Lower Mainland, right
above the US border. This is an exciting seaside community with an 8km
sandy beach that stretches around Semiahmoo Bay. There is a special ambience
here, created in part by special attractions such as the heritage pier,
the train station, the promenade and the sidewalk cafes. It is a preferred
retirement community and draws folk from all around the world because of
moderate temperatures and excellent recreation facilities… Bring your golf
clubs!
CLOVERDALE
Cloverdale is located directly west of Langley and is separated from the
rest of Surrey by the rich farmland that surrounds it. Traditionally a
farming community, Cloverdale
has a revitalized downtown and is home to many new housing developments.
During the Victoria Day long-weekend in May, Cloverdale is tranformed into
a modern-day wild west show as the Cloverdale
Rodeo, one of the world's largest rodeos, is held.
